What is happening....

Hey,

Since my last post,  I've applied for 40 positions. If you add the 11 position I've applied before, you gonna have the total of 51 resumes sent in 2 weeks - yes, I've been busy. Some companies replied saying one terrible world: unsuccessful. It means:  NO INTERVIEW FOR ME. Of course I'm disappointed...I'd like to be part of the first shortlist, do at least one interview - I prefer a face to face situation!

Happy New Year

Hey,

I'm not the only one looking for a job this year. This morning, one job ad on Seek grabbed my attention: the idea of working as Part-Time Retail Shop Assistant for the Foreign Language Bookshop  sounded too good: I have customer service and retail experience, speak 2 languages (Portuguese and English), intend to  improve another one (Spanish) and I do have a honest interest in books. So, by 3:00pm, I went there to apply in person -  I already had applied online. Talking to the Bookshop manager I discovered that another 200 people (Yes, TWO HUNDRED) had the same idea. I also applied for some other jobs.... Retail  or HR positions.
